Adding a mat board around your image, photo, print or painting beautifies and complements the piece by creating space around it. It is pleasing to the eye and draws your focus to the center of the art. The mat board also helps to protect the artwork by creating a space between the art and the glazing. If you aren’t interested in adding a mat board, spacers can be added to the glass - hidden from view - to prevent issues with adhesion and mold.
